Plastic-Bonded Neodymium Iron Boron Magnets
Our plastic-bonded NdFeB magnets are expertly crafted using compression moulding techniques, a process that facilitates the creation of complex shapes with the use of simple tools. These magnets are characterized by their isotropic properties, offering around 10 MGO or 30% of the energy density of fully dense sintered materials. Suitable for operations at temperatures up to 120°C, they do have a relatively poor temperature coefficient with a Curie temperature of 340°C.
Due to their high iron content, these magnets are prone to corrosion, especially in moist or hostile environments. To counter this, we recommend an additional protective coating, such as black or grey epoxy, to enhance their durability.
One of the key advantages of our plastic-bonded NdFeB magnets is their isotropic nature, which allows for magnetization in any direction. This feature is particularly beneficial for applications requiring complex multipole magnetization, such as in the computer peripheral industry and in small precision motors. However, it’s important to note that radial and multiple pole magnetization may require special magnetizing fixtures.
These magnets, with their unique properties and capabilities, are an excellent choice for a variety of advanced technological applications, particularly where precision and versatility are paramount.
